free-form?
Se for igual D&D já vai me desanimar...
Eu não sei o que é combate free-form, todos os RPGs que eu conheço, pra atacar alguem faz uma jogada de ataque, e se acertar faz uma jogada de dano, e o jogador ou Mestre descreve o que aconteceu. Tem uns jogos mais complicados que o atacado tem que fazer jogadas de defesa e de absorção de dano o que deixa tudo mais demorado, assim como jogadas de iniciativa todo round. O D&D acho que é o mais "free-form" que eu conheço, já que ele tem tantas possibilidades, então é bem "free" "form".
QUanto ao Qin, a cada rodada se faz uma jogada de iniciativa, cada ataque se faz uma jogada de ataque contra a "CA" do oponente. Se acertar o oponente ainda pode tentar um dodge ou bloqueio, que é mais uma jogada. Ae tem a jogada de dano. Considerando que a cada rodada os PC têm uma média de 3 ataques, então já viu, apesar que dizem que os combates não duram mais do que 3 rodadas, ou seja, uma média de, considerando um grupo de 4 PCs, umas 30 roladas de dados pra atacar, umas 20 de defesa, umas 30 de dano, mais umas 10 de iniciativa, em cada combate. Os combat techniques são sim como Feats, tem o CT charge, whirlwind, two weapon attack, double attack, double defense e outra manobras, cada uma com sua regra. Os Taos são identicos às Disciplinas do Vampiro, cada um tem 4 niveis de poder, e sao bem mágicos, e a maioria se usa no combate sim, e gastam Chi de acordo com o nível utilizado.
Não se engane, Qin é sim um jogo de ação wuxia. É pra ser algo como os filmes Hero, Tigre e Dragão, e aqueles do Jet Li e tantos outros, com muito combate, uma história chinesa como background e mais porrada!
É só ver a lista dos livros e filmes que eles usaram como inspiração pra você ter uma idéia.
